N.E.C. Nijmegen has appointed Teun Jacobs as football development manager. With his arrival, the club's football organization will also be reorganized. Carlos Aalbers is officially the technical director again, while Nick Kersten will continue as scouting and transfer manager. Kersten also signs a new contract until 2029. The 42-year-old Teun Jacobs is no stranger in Nijmegen. Between 2009 and 2013, he was head of youth development at the N.E.C. Football Academy under Aalbers. Jacobs reacts enthusiastically to his appointment: “N.E.C. has had fantastic years behind it and I'm happy to be able to contribute to continuing that line.” Technical director Carlos Aalbers: “We've adjusted the structure so that everyone is responsible for their own area, with a coordinating role and final responsibility for me.” Finally, Nick Kersten also reacts: “This new contract shows a lot of trust and that's good for the continuity within the club.” Jacobs has held various positions in professional football. He worked for the KNVB and was technical director at Almere City FC, Willem II, and recently at VVV-Venlo. Now he signs a two-year contract with N.E.C. Nijmegen. The club hopes to further develop the football organization and take the next step in the foundation of the club with this appointment. Jacobs will focus on youth development and scouting. He will also play an important role in the transfer period. N.E.C. Nijmegen has achieved good results in recent years and the club hopes to continue this line with this appointment.
