N.E.C. Nijmegen is hosting the Nexperia N.E.C. Nijmegen Cup U17, a major international tournament for the best talents up to 17 years old. The DFDS - N.E.C. Voetbalacademie is organizing the tournament in collaboration with Orange Veins. On Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26, big clubs from six different countries will participate in the Keizerstad for at least five matches. Among others, Manchester United, Palmeiras, Bayer Leverkusen and Malmö FF are coming to Nijmegen. Head of youth development Colin Williamson says that the tournament is being organized for the third season in a row and that it promises to be a high-level tournament. Take the sons of two real football icons: Kai Rooney and Jacey Carrick, the sons of Wayne and Michael, will play for United's Under 17 and will travel to the Netherlands. For N.E.C. Under 17, Mandela Bongne, Abubakarr Kargbo and Mees Rensen will be in action. The trio signed their first professional contract a year ago, with the latter recently being part of the selection that won 2-3 against PSV. The ticket sale for this tournament has already started. Season ticket holders can buy a passe-partout for € 6.50. For other visitors, tickets are available from € 6.50 for one day, and you pay € 11 for a passe-partout for both days.
