N.E.C. Nijmegen has strengthened its squad by signing Perr Schuurs, a 26-year-old defender who joins on a free transfer. Schuurs has signed a three-year contract that runs until mid-2029. He began his career at Fortuna Sittard and made the move to Ajax after a successful season in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. During his four seasons at Ajax, he made 62 appearances for the first team. After his time in Amsterdam, he moved to Serie A to play for Torino. However, due to an injury, his contract there was terminated. Director of football Carlos Aalbers stated that Perr is well on his way in his rehabilitation and is eager to start again. Aalbers emphasized that they are realistic and will give Perr the time he needs. Schuurs is a defender with exceptional qualities and brings significant experience at the highest level.
