N.E.C. Nijmegen says goodbye to four players: Eli Dasa, Jetro Willems, Virgil Misidjan and Rijk Janse. The club has no contract extension for them. Eli Dasa joined N.E.C. in September 2025. The 33-year-old Israeli player quickly became a regular in the team of coach Dick Schreuder. The captain of the Israeli national team eventually scored two goals in Nijmegen. Jetro Willems and Virgil Misidjan both joined De Goffert in June 2025. Willems, a former international of the Netherlands, played nine games for the Nijmegeners. Misidjan played 20 games, scoring one goal and providing two assists. Rijk Janse, the 24-year-old goalkeeper, also leaves the club. He joined NEC in the summer of 2022 and had to wait a long time for his official debut. That moment came in late March during the match against sc Heerenveen. In addition to his role as goalkeeper, Janse was also active as a goalkeeper trainer within the under-19 team of the DFDS - NEC Football Academy. Director of player affairs Carlos Aalbers expresses his appreciation for the quartet: “We have a lot of respect and gratitude for the commitment of these four players. They have all made a significant contribution to the successful season we have just completed. We wish them all the best for the continuation of their careers.”
