N.E.C. Nijmegen has appointed three new coaches for the 2026-2027 season. Edwin Linssen, Thomas Maibaum and Thomas Botden will lead the technical staff of the DFDS - N.E.C. Football Academy. Edwin Linssen will take over as coach of the Under 21 team, succeeding Jeffrey Leiwakabessy. Linssen comes from Willem II, where he coached the Under 19 team last season. He is the brother of Bryan Linssen, striker of our first team. Thomas Maibaum will take over as coach of the Under 14 team, replacing Tibbe Bennik. Thomas Botden returns after two seasons to the Under 10 team and takes over from Pim van Wijk. Head of youth development Colin Williamson: "The Under 19 team can look back on an excellent season, in which they twice reached the top five. The Under 17 team also had a strong season and promoted from Division 3 to Division 1. With these teams at the highest level, we are taking another important step towards our ambition. Next season, we want to continue this development and give the Under 21 team a suitable follow-up."
